Development and harbour works

Development and maintenance works within the river require the permission of the Harbour Authority as well as other authorities. This is so the effect of the proposal on navigational safety and the environment can be evaluated.

The River Hamble Harbour Authority is unable to supply hard copies of plans and drawings, but you may view these at our office by prior arrangement. If hard copies are required, we can request them from the applicant on your behalf, but you are likely to be charged for these.

Installation of a landing pontoon to improve vessel launching efficiency

Marina Developments Limited - proposed pier extension
Hamble Point Marina, Hamble SO31 4NB

This work at Hamble Point Marina is planned to extend five of the main piers to allow installation of one additional finger on each side of these piers, creating four extra berths per pier. New floating pontoon walkway sections and finger pontoons will be installed in line with existing infrastructure. Some of the walkway sections and fingers will need additional piles to ensure stability, and some existing piles will be relocated to ensure the piers remain stable. This project will not require any dredging.
