Development and harbour works

Development and maintenance works within the river require the permission of the Harbour Authority as well as other authorities. This is so the effect of the proposal on navigational safety and the environment can be evaluated.

Plans, drawings and material submitted to the River Hamble Harbour Authority are protected by the Copyright Acts (Section 47, 1988 Act). You may only use material which is downloaded and/or printed for consultation purposes. You must not make further copies without the prior permission of the copyright owner.

The River Hamble Harbour Authority is unable to supply hard copies of plans and drawings, but you may view these at our office by prior arrangement. If hard copies are required, we can request them from the applicant on your behalf, but you are likely to be charged for these.

Backhoe dredge of up to 3750m3 to reestablish operation depths and access to the crane area. (Classed as capital dredging as no dredging has occurred in previous 10 years, but it is still soft material).

To be determined. Deadline for written comments to RHHA is 26 October 2026. It is anticipated that the application will be discussed at the Management Committee meeting scheduled for 18 December 2026, and determined at the Harbour Board meeting scheduled for 8 January 2027.
