Comment on applications

As part of the harbour works consent application process, we welcome comments about navigation and the river environment from river users and stakeholders.

Development proposals also require permissions from other authorities (e.g., Planning Authority, Marine Management Organisation, Environment Agency). Comments about other issues, such as planning permission, should be directed to the right organisation.

Viewing applications

Current applications for harbour works consent can be viewed online or by coming in person to the Harbour Office by prior arrangement. Plans and documents may be subject to change. The website will display the latest versions. Plans may not print exactly to scale.

Commenting on applications

To comment on the impact on navigational safety and the environment, email [email protected] or write to River Hamble Harbour Office, Shore Road, Warsash, Hampshire SO31 9FR.

Comments must be received by the application deadline. Failure to meet this deadline may result in your comments not being considered. Your comments may be made publicly available and are subject to any Freedom of Information requests. Responses should not include inappropriate or offensive material, or you will be requested to edit and resubmit your comments.

Your name and address will be published. Your telephone numbers, email addresses and signatures won’t be. Anonymous comments will not be considered.

Comments may be passed on to the applicant, so they fully understand any issues raised, and so the Management Committee and Harbour Board receive comprehensive reports before their decision.

If you prefer to make your comments verbally, you can give them to the Management Committee or the Harbour Board at their meeting. Requests to attend a meeting must be received three working days before the meeting.
