Maintenance piles

Public maintenance piles are available on a first come, first served basis at Warsash, Hamble and Lands End (Bursledon) slipways.

Cost

Visitor access: £31 for 24 hours. Inc VAT.
For those who pay annual harbour dues, the first 24 hours of access are free.

Maximum vessel size

Vessels can be up to the following size and weights:

  • sailing vessels up to 15m in length and/or 12 tonnes displacement
  • motor vessels up to 15m in length and/or 20 tonnes displacement

    • Safety

    While using the piles, you’re responsible for:

  • your vessel’s safety
  • your own safety and the safety of anyone working on your vessel
  • the safety of any members of the public in the vicinity

    • The use of maintenance piles for the removal of anti-fouling paint is not encouraged.
