Rules of procedure

The rules of procedure are made by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police and Crime Panel and the Panel will be conducted in accordance with these Rules. The Rules may have to be reviewed from time to time on the coming into force of any relevant secondary legislation and/or statutory guidance.

This protocol concerns the relationship between the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police and Crime Panel and the Police and Crime Commissioner for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. The protocol aims to provide clarity of role and expectations of the Panel and the Commissioner for the benefit of all involved in the process of policing and crime accountability.

PCP members travel expense claims

In compliance with the Local Authorities (Members Allowances) (England) Regulations 2003, travel and subsistence allowances in relation to attendance at the Police and Crime Panel meetings by an Appointed Member shall be claimed from and paid by the Authority appointing them, in accordance with that Authority’s own procedures.

Independent co-opted Members are able to claim travel allowances from the Host Authority.
