Working with your business

We develop many projects on farms, in schools, in community spaces, and with businesses. We are innovative in our approach with tree planting. We create schemes that will have many benefits to people, biodiversity, landscape and climate.

Our projects range from developing new sites for nature with communities, to working with people with special care needs. Community orchards are particularly beneficial. They provide food, but also tranquillity and a source of nectar for pollinators. We have planted small orchards at adult care facilities, and in community spaces in partnership with local people.

We are also trialling the re-introduction of elm trees by planting disease resistant varieties all over the county. The elm remains a nostalgic memory for many and its loss to Dutch elm disease devastated elm populations all over the world. We also hope to help recovery of the white-letter hairstreak butterfly which relies on the mature elm for its sole food source.

We have created guides for schools to encourage children to germinate tree seeds. We also provide trees for gardens to encourage nature to thrive. We work with farmers to provide trees for agroforestry. This integrates tree planting within fields to benefit both livestock and nature recovery.

We are also trialling different ways to create small woodlands, testing techniques to create more resilient and successful planting schemes. This scheme is perfect for small locations in urban areas. It enables nature to thrive in our towns and villages.

How your business can help

If you would like to become a part of this exciting project, there are many ways that we can work with you. We offer a number of opportunities and can tailor those to your business requirements. Some examples of what we offer are:

  • We plant trees for you – make an effective contribution to nature, climate and the environment with your business. Plant trees for every product sold or new customer, create a regular subscription, plant a tree for every employee. We can create a fully customisable offering. Contact us to discuss your needs.
  • Sponsor a project – we develop many projects each year and are always looking for funding and sponsorship to enable us to continue our work. Whether you’d like to sponsor our community orchards programme, mini forests, disease resistant elms, trees for farms, or projects that deliver particular health benefits, we can work with you to find a project that fits your needs.
  • Volunteering – want to come and help plant trees? We can provide opportunities for teams to come and help with our planting days. If you would like bespoke planting days we may also be able to help. Contact us to discuss your specific requirements.
  • Free trees for gardens – we are looking for sponsors for our free tree giveaways. The trees are planted in home gardens and are particularly beneficial for wildlife that thrives in our backyards. From hedgehogs to tawny owls, insects and bees, birds and butterflies – trees provide a multitude of benefits and planting them in gardens makes a huge difference to nature.

Thank you to all the businesses that are working with us to help with our Million Trees Challenge.
