The Solent Forum is a larger partnership of stakeholders across the wider Solent area.
The Coastal Partnership Network encourages the exchange of information and debate between coastal partnership officers. It connects partnership officers giving them increased opportunities for learning and influence. Each year an Annual Coastal Partnerships Forum is held, where officers from coastal partnerships across the country meet to share information and best practice.
Projects
These are some of the projects we have been involved with.
Saltmarsh study
We commissioned some research into the decline of saltmarshes, looking for opportunities for management and restoration of saltmarsh in the lower River Hamble.
Solent oyster restoration project
We are working with the Blue Marine Foundation to restore environmentally-important oysters to the sea beds around the Solent.
Sacrificial anodes
The River Hamble Harbour Authority has been helping to support PhD student Aldous Rees from Southampton Solent University in investigating the variety of corrosion rates of sacrificial anodes seen in the Hamble Estuary.
