Photographs

We hold around 50,000 photographs dating from 1850s to the present day. These include several large collections:

• Frith collection, catalogue prefixes 56M71 and 43M94
• Hampshire Field Club collection, catalogue prefix 65M89
• Hampshire Photographic Project, catalogue prefix HPP

Over 10,000 of our photographs, including all HPP photographs, are available to view through our online catalogue. You can also buy these as prints.

Aerial photographs

Our main collection consists of over 3000 photographs. These were taken by Ordnance Survey, 1945-1972 , catalogue prefix 134M87
