We are proud of our library service in Hampshire and are committed to continuing to unlock the huge potential libraries offer. This includes promoting and championing literacy and reading, especially among early years readers. Our collection ranges from current bestsellers to award-winning non-fiction with a comprehensive range of cookery books, history books, maps, foreign language titles, and virtually every other kind of book you can imagine in between. Our children’s collection starts youngsters on a life-long reading journey, from picture and board books through to an inspiring collection of young adult literature.

We hold large numbers of fiction and non-fiction titles in large print format so you can easily find a book you’ll love.
Dementia resources
Living with dementia can create feelings of isolation and problems communicating with family, friends and carers. Hampshire Library Service offers a range of materials and resources to borrow which can help improve and stimulate discussion and memories for those living with the effects of dementia.
