The Spydus Mobile is a free app which lets you check out library loans using a smartphone as well as search for books, reserve and renew your items.
You can use the Spydus Mobile app to scan barcodes on books, which will search for available copies at your local library.
How to use the Spydus Mobile app
- Download the free Spydus Mobile app from the Apple app store or Google Play onto your smartphone.
- Select Hampshire Library Service from the dropdown list. Logon by entering your library membership number (borrower ID) and PIN (password). The first time you use Spydus Mobile, you’ll be asked to select your local library branch.
- Scan library item barcodes to check out library loans from your smartphone. You can also scan ISBN codes when you’re out and about to see if there are available copies at your local library.
- Use the Spydus Mobile app to search the library catalogue, save searches, set up reading lists and get book recommendations.
