Frimley Aqueduct

Built by the London & Southwestern Railway in 1840 to take the Canal over the main London to Basingstoke Railway. It was lengthened in 1900 when an additional two railway lines were laid. Stop gates were installed at either end in 1940 as a safety measure to prevent flooding of the railway line in the event of a bomb landing on the aqueduct.
