On the water

The Basingstoke Canal is navigable by powered and unpowered boats from the junction with the River Wey Navigation at Woodham, Surrey to North Warnborough, Hampshire. It is 32 miles long and there are 29 locks. We are an independent navigation authority so Canal and River Trust, Environment Agency or other navigation authority licences do not apply here – you will need a separate licence issued by us.
