Our most popular residential programme, outdoor and adventure packages feature a wide mix of adventurous, teambuilding and personal development activities.
Taking full advantage of a stunning location in the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons), Argoed Lwyd Outdoor Education Centre offers a unique experience for groups wanting a range of challenging adventures such as mountain walking, canoeing and gorge walking.
Building skills for life
The programme provides opportunities for students to develop a range of skills to meet a variety of outcomes. These include activities which develop communication, co-operation, and teambuilding (like caving, gorge walking, canoeing or mountain walking) and those providing individual challenges (like climbing or abseiling) to promote resilience, and confidence.
Nature's classroom
A typical day includes a full day or two half day activity sessions, with all our activities taking place in around the National Park.
Your activity programme can also include a half day experience with the National Park education team giving your students an understanding and awareness of the natural environment, issues surrounding sustainability and the protected landscapes of the National Parks.

- Inside-out option to include two nights camping under the stars in one of the UK’s largest dark sky reserves
- Instructor led evening activity sessions including dark skies adventure or bat hunt
- Cultural or historical visit at Big Pit National Coal Museum or the Welsh Rural Life Museum
- Falconry experience with the Wings of Wales ½ or full day
- Travel to us by train – pickup and drop off at local train station
