Stubbington Study Centre
Where learning comes to life! Set on the beautiful Hampshire coast near Fareham, Stubbington Study Centre offers a remarkable natural setting with diverse wildlife habitats - just a five-minute walk from the beach.
Our specialist primary education team helps children thrive both socially and academically. We create a fun, engaging, and supportive learning environment, encouraging teamwork, respect, and responsibility every step of the way.
Children take part in a rich programme of outdoor educational activities, grouped under the headings of ‘Environment’, ‘Culture’ or ‘Adventure’, exploring the local environment and discovering the animals and plants that call our grounds home. It’s hands-on learning at its very best.

Accommodation
Our accommodation is friendly, secure, and designed for a great night’s rest.
Each school has its own dedicated sleeping area, with visiting staff supervising their pupils overnight for complete peace of mind.
Bedrooms sleep up to six children in bunk beds, with toilets and showers conveniently located just across the hall.
Staff bedrooms come with their own sink and shower and are located throughout the building at a ratio of one staff room for every two children’s rooms.
All bed linen is included.
Every school has an indoor gathering space for evening meet-ups and activities. These rooms also include resources for self-led sessions, should staff wish to run their own evening programme.
Catering
Our centres offer healthy and nutritious catering packages that can accommodate all dietary requirements.
We take pride in offering daily hand-cooked meals that ensure all meals are fresh and tasty. Our experienced team can cater for a wide range of dietary needs ensuring all are included and kept safe.
Our dining room is lovingly known as The Snuffle Hole — the perfect place to sniff out great food and enjoy delicious meals together!
Fuel for the Day - We serve four hearty meals a day, giving every child plenty of energy for adventure, learning, and fun.
Something for Everyone - With a varied weekly menu packed with tasty options, there’s always something to suit every appetite.
More Than Just Mealtimes - Mealtimes are a brilliant chance to make new friends, chat about the day, and connect with pupils from other schools.
Accessibility
We aim to ensure that all children are included in activities. If a child has a disability that limits their access to an activity, we do our best to adapt.
We recommend a pre-visit with school staff to discuss potential accessibility issues to help us work with you to understand your children’s needs.
The grounds
- We make sure our outdoor areas are as accessible as possible. We have access to a Landeez all-terrain wheelchair in case of muddy ground caused by poor weather.
Accommodation
- Our facilities are fully wheelchair accessible. The sleeping accommodation includes accessible washrooms (one of which includes a hoist and changing table), toilets and bedrooms. Some of the bedrooms have been fitted with panic alarms.
- Should an individual require 1 to 1 care overnight, our clinic includes a carer’s bedroom adjacent to the child's room, and accessible toilet and shower.
Classrooms
- Our classrooms are accessible by ramp.

The children had a fantastic, rich learning experience. They have become more independent and willing to take (safe) risks. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
