Councillor David Clifford
David is Leader of Rushmoor Borough Council with a strong interest in town-centre regeneration and public service delivery. He is also a Board Member of the Enterprise M3 Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), supporting work to provide strategic direction for the delivery of economic growth and prosperity across the area.
David has a Masters Degree in Public Administration and is a member of the Chartered Management Institute. With long-standing connections within the Hampshire area, his day job is Managing Director of a medium size business based in a factory unit in Aldershot, so understands the challenges, difficulties and rewards facing many medium size businesses in our area. Although born in the area, David has lived and worked in Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Middle East working for multinational organisations. He is delighted to bring his experience to the role of Commissioner and to support the development of the future shape and vision for Hampshire 2050.
