Mr Stewart Dunn
Stewart has extensive business knowledge following a life long career in Regional Newspapers at Senior Management level. He was for twenty two years Managing Director of Newsquest Hampshire responsible for the Southern Daily Echo and Hampshire Chronicle as well as other weekly titles.
Following his retirement from the media, Stewart was appointed as CEO of Hampshire Chamber of Commerce.
Hampshire Chamber of Commerce is the ‘Independent Voice of Local Business’ across the County and is part of the larger business networks in the UK by being an Accredited Member of the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC).
During his time with the Chamber he was chair of Creative Network South an organisation promoting and supporting the creative industries, together with being Chair of Future South, a collaborative partnership of business, local authorities and universities working together on new sustainable energy solutions. Additionally he worked closely with the Chamber’s local area committees and took a strong interest in planning and transport affairs as well as the development of start ups and small business through the Chamber and Solent Growth Hub. He was a board member of Winchester’s Business Improvement District and more recently helped to establish the Southampton BID.
Stewart stepped down from the Chamber in April 2017 but continues to be non executive Chair of Carswell Gould a leading communications agency specialising in PR and web development for a number of leading Hampshire based firms.
