eBooks, eAudiobooks and audiobook membership

There are thousands of eBooks and eAudiobooks which can be downloaded for free with just a few taps on your smartphone, tablet, eReader or computer. You can also have a paid-for annual audiobook membership which gives you access to audiobooks on CD and other formats.

Every month we feature a collection of unlimited titles: these are eBooks and eAudiobooks which you don’t have to wait for even if lots of other borrowers have already downloaded them. 

Step 1 – Join Hampshire Libraries

If you're not already a member, you can join Hampshire Libraries now. Otherwise, skip to step 2.

Step 2 - Sign in to BorrowBox

You can sign in using the BorrowBox app or the BorrowBox website.

To use the BorrowBox app, download it from the App Store or Google Play. Open the app and search for Hampshire Libraries in the "Library" field provided.

Alternatively visit the Hampshire Libraries BorrowBox website.


Log in using your library membership number and PIN. New members might have to wait a few days for their card to arrive: use your temporary membership number until it does. If you’ve forgotten or lost your PIN or membership number, you can have your PIN reset and your membership number emailed to you.

Step 3 - Browse

Browse through our collections, filtering, if you wish, for eAudiobooks or for titles available immediately. We're always adding new titles, so visit often and make the most of your library membership.

Step 4 - Download

You can confirm your choice and download the complete eBook or eAudiobook instantly. You can also reserve a title if it’s not yet available: when it’s available it will automatically download.
