National talking newspapers and magazines
Hampshire Library Service subscribes to the RNIB Newsagent Audio Download Service and their range of over 200 ‘talking newspapers and magazines’. This format is often used by people who are visually impaired but could also be used by those who have difficulties with reading or concentration. Most of the titles available are popular high street titles which the RNIB has selected the best features and articles from and have professionally narrated for you to enjoy. Among the current most popular titles are BBC History Magazine, People’s Friend and Private Eye.
To access this service through Hampshire Libraries you will need to supply at least one USB stick for library staff to download your chosen titles onto, 8GB USB sticks are ideal.
