All aboard the railway

Jump on board the Royal Victoria Railway and then sit back and relax as you embark on a spectacular mile-long tour of the park, combining panoramic views across Southampton Water with a close-up look at the woodland plants and wildlife. Starting out from Piccadilly (named after the park road junction opposite) the narrow-gauge track slowly curves, climbs and descends, passing the playground, Chapel and Cedar Rooms café on its way.

This independently operated railway is open from 11am until 3:30pm at weekends and all week during school holidays. Cash payments only.

The railway is also available to hire for any occasion, be that a birthday party, a wedding, a private enthusiast's day, or a school trip.
