Chilling Coastal Area

Explore the idyllic Chilling Coastal Area. Within Chilling Coastal Area are woodlands including Thatcher’s Copse and Brownwich Valley. The ponds and streams in the area are rich with a wide variety of wildlife, and undisturbed wintering flocks of brent geese use the site for feeding. In the spring, bluebells cover the woodland floor.

Chilling Copse is not accessible to the public.

Titchfield canal

Titchfield canal is the second oldest canal in England, completed in 1611. Stretching for two miles from Titchfield Village to Meon Shore, the walk along the public footpath provides stunning views across our meadows. Wetland wildlife can frequently be seen during the summer including dragonflies and damselflies, as well as fish like sticklebacks and roach. You can also spot water voles, bats, barn owls and many birds from the path.
