Kingfishers

The bright blue kingfishers are elusive birds but they are most likely to be seen on calm days fishing from the multiple perches across the waterways on the reserve.

Seen along the river from the Suffern hide or on the 11 Acre Mere from Spurgin hide.

When to spot

Kingfishers are resident all year round on the reserve but they are most likely to be seen from late summer through to early spring.
