Badger

As badgers are nocturnal, you are unlikely to see a badger while visiting the reserve, but it’s fun to look for their signs!

Where to find

Look for signs of feeding along the visitor routes - ‘snuffle’ holes are commonly seen where they root up insects and grubs to feed on. You may also see bedding that has been turned out of the large sett up near the Knights Bank hide.

When to spot

Signs of badgers are visible all year round.
