Sedge warbler and reed warbler
Sedge warblers and reed warblers are similar sized brown birds. Sedge warblers are identified by a creamy stripe above their eye. Both have a very similar call, it's fun trying to work out which is which at the beginning of the season.
Where to find
Can be seen and heard in the reedbeds.
When to spot
Both warblers arrive in the spring after their journey from south of the Sahara.
