Bramble, often known as blackberry, is a familiar plant with its thick, thorny stems. Bramble blossoms are one of the best sources of nectar for our insects. It also provides good cover for birds. However, we do have to manage where and how much it grows.

Where to find

Often found in wooded areas and hedgerows.

When to spot

Brambles are there all year round but they are in flower in summer and their black fruits appear in autumn.
