First Words Together - helping little voices grow
Babies communicate long before they start to talk. Every smile, gesture, sound and shared book helps build the pathways they need for language and learning.
First Words Together is a friendly, free, 5 week course delivered in your local library, designed to help you build confidence, enjoy special time with your little one (aged 6 to 30 months) and discover simple tips to support their early communication.
What to expect
Each relaxed weekly session includes:
- storytime and rhymes to spark imagination and encourage early communication and language
- practical communication tips you can try at home
- play based activities that help your baby build early language and attention skills
- a welcoming library space with staff who understand early years and family learning
- chances to meet other parents and carers in a warm, supportive environment
