SGN works - A32 Wickham Road traffic management - Update

SGN will be undertaking work to divert a gas main, requiring some changes to traffic management on the A32 Wickham Road. For the safety of operatives and road users, temporary traffic lights will be in place day and night. Although the works were originally scheduled to begin on 23 February, they have started earlier than planned, commencing today (16 February). The programme has also been extended from two weeks to three weeks to allow the diversion works to be completed safely.
Two way temporary traffic lights have been installed on the A32 today, taking advantage of the quieter traffic period during the school half term. The traffic lights will be manually controlled from 6:30am until 7pm each day to help manage traffic flow.

Road users are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and allow extra time for travel.
