Following recent overnight works, the new Broadway roundabout is now open to traffic in both northbound and southbound directions – this is the first of four new roundabouts being delivered as part of the M27 Junction 10 improvement scheme to open to traffic. Further work is required in the coming weeks, including painting the road markings.
Resurfacing work is due to take place on the A32 Wickham Road, specifically the southbound lane linking to the roundabout. This was originally planned as night work on 18 May but had to be postponed due to heavy rain.
The new dedicated lane providing direct access to the M27 Junction 10 eastbound on slip remains closed while works continue to construct a shared cycle and pedestrian path.

From tree houses to bug boxes – supporting the local community and environment
Over the Easter school holidays, we were pleased to support the local community by holding a volunteering day at St Anthony’s Catholic Primary School in Fareham. Nine members of the project team gave up their time to help brighten up the school grounds by repainting treehouses and fence posts, moving wood chippings, and clearing fallen leaves.
We have also been pleased to donate equipment to help Wickham Men’s Shed build 40 bug hotels, bringing together local volunteers and practical skills to support wildlife in the area. The project is a great example of the community working together to create something positive and long-lasting for the local environment.
We hope to involve a local school in helping to ‘furnish’ the bug hotels, giving children the chance to learn about nature, and see how small actions can make a real difference. Once installed, the bug hotels will be placed around the M27 J10 site area to provide shelter for insects and other small wildlife.
