VolkerFitzpatrick, on behalf of Hampshire County Council, have completed the concrete pours on the below dates between 5am and 7pm:
- Tuesday 29 July 2025 - completed.
- Tuesday 5 August 2025, rescheduled for Wednesday 6 August 2025 - completed.
Due to recent high daytime temperatures, it became increasingly difficult to pour and cure concrete effectively during the day. To maintain progress on the construction of the concrete box structure and avoid delays to the programme, this was carried out during the cooler early morning hours. While concrete pouring itself is not a noisy activity, each work period involved approximately 60 concrete truck movements to and from the site via the A32.
