When you join the LGPS, you will receive an email with information about registering for our Member Portal where you will find a welcome letter. This provides many details about the scheme and actions that you should take, which are also explained below.
What should I do?
- Register for our Member Portal

We publish annual benefit statements and important regulation changes electronically via our Member Portal so it is really important that you register. Other benefits include:
- ability to change your address, name or marital status online,
- secure view of all your annual pension statements and letters regarding regulation changes,
- ability to message us securely,
- access to your pension payslips/P60s when you become a pensioner.

- Use the Member Portal to complete the online Membership option form

- to confirm that your personal details are correct and tell us your choices regarding previous LGPS pensions.

- Use the Member Portal to complete the Death Grant Expression of Wish Form

- if you wish to specify where you would like any death grant to be paid in the event of your death.
- Action required if you have a previous pension
