Differences between variable hours, variable time, part time and whole time

Pre April 2014 membership and later if protected by the Underpin: A proportion of whole-time based on the hours the member worked. Please report the number of hours worked on the end of year return. When a member leaves, please include number of hours worked from 1 April to the leaving date on the leaver form. Membership may be pro-rated if the member combines a deferred pension account from variable-time work with a pension account from work that is not variable time.
